Be Aware of Price Gouging by Web Designers because of Google’s April 21 Deadline!

What is price gouging and why do some web design companies do it?

Price gouging is a pejorative term referring to a situation in which a seller or service provider prices goods or services at a much higher level than is considered reasonable or fair. With the current situation being Google’s announcement to penalize non-responsive (non mobile-friendly) websites by the April 21, 2015 deadline.

What’s the penalty here: your website drops to the bottom of the list in Google’s Search results. Not a good place to be! You might as well not exist.

Just like when hurricanes are approaching land and people are forced by law to evacuate their homes, some hotels and gas stations will take advantage of the situation and raise their prices way above what is fair or reasonable. Often tripling or quadrupling the original prices. We think this is highly unethical and I think it’s become illegal.

Unfortunately, there is no law against price-gouging web designers!

Here at Lionsites Web Design, we know that if your website doesn’t pass the mobile-friendly tool test from Google, you’re in a similar predicament. With other words, you have no choice or control over the situation that is forced upon you.

We sympathize with all website owners who have very little funds or don’t understand the implications of Google’s biggest announcement ever, that could hurt their small or large business.

Please don’t worry too much. First of all, you’re not alone. Your competitors are in the same boat and most likely many of them will not make this deadline or some don’t even know about it and find out the hard way.

Luckily you do know the facts, because you’ve been reading news articles such as this one! You’re already a big step ahead of many other website owners and even of some of your competitors.

The sooner you contact us about making your website responsive (making it mobile friendly), the sooner we can get to work on your website. We treat all our customers equally, no matter what the size of your website is, or how much competition you have, or what your budget is.

We solely work on a first-come and first-serve basis.
